Area: Large open space
Instructions:
Arrange ropes in a circle to create the activity area, which is a ‘sea’. The ‘shark’ in the centre of the sea squats down and prowls around while all the other students skip around the shark chanting ‘Shark in the sea… can’t catch me.’ After a time the shark jumps up and chases the rest. Students run out of the sea to safety.
